Meet Cydney Davidson-Bey
Founder of Technology in Color · B.S. Information Technology, Eastern Michigan University
All through college, Cydney Davidson-Bey (formerly Gillon) noticed she was often the only woman of color in her Information Technology courses. When she walked the stage at Eastern Michigan University to receive her Bachelor of Science, there she was again: the only Black woman graduating.
That moment became a mission. Soon after leaving Eastern in 2017, she created Technology in Color to support, advance and grow people of color in the Information Technology field.
After almost a decade working in IT in Corporate America, Cydney turned her passion into a full-time mission: helping create more skilled IT workers and closing the gap in tech, one career, one business and one family at a time.
